Most likely, he does not intend to deceive, but as you suggest, just has not questions aspects of what he was taught. Re the earth, we will get to that. There is masses of evidence that the earth is round. 2500 years ago, a Greek man figured out one demonstration, and got the earth's diameter 90% right. Anyway, hope you can make it Friday.
