Old saying: Be there or be square. So, Ray, don't be square (unless you want to be, of course.

Elsa, I am actuall interested, although I have more human relationships than what I can correctly honor. That shows me as a slacker, because I overestimated my capacity to maintain relationships.

I expect this coffee hour to be extremely rewarding for all participants, so I'll try to be there, but cannot make any promises...

I think it promises to be great, with the presence of perhaps half a dozen core members, who also have the chance to present their ideas - not this time, but other times. There will be a time limit (2 or 3 minutes per person - 3-5 minutes of Q&A plus discussion). Why so short? I see the "coffee hour" actually being 40 min for ideas and 40 minutes for music and spoken word. That may well evolve into a separate time for ideas and for creative stuff - but it may also be great, the more heated discussion followed by the less heated and yet energizing music and spoken word. You, I know, have loads of ideas!!!

Mixing discussion with music might not pan out well. Participants will be eager to participate! :)

Also, the generic profile must be clear in order to attract people who will come back. Music sessions, for one, can work, when everyone can contribute either with favorites or with playing their own instruments. Dunno.

Of course, that's only my take on it and I can be easily wrong.
