Have you ever had a message from a cowboy, a singing cowboy, stetson pulled way down low?
The year, 1994. The day, June 12. I wake up.
I hear, in my head, a cowboy playing a violin. He’s singing:
Don’t ever forget
Life’s a miracle and yet
It hurts
when we break
a leg or a heart
I pick up paper and pen.
His singing continues:
Don’t ever forget
Life’s a miracle, my pet,
With love
and the highs
The wonder of it all
And don’t ever forget
you’ll do fine
I wrote down the words, remembered the melody. Later on I typed up the words.
It was a long time before the song was recorded. 2012. With 2 friends. Ed Deigan, as the cowboy. Playing guitar. And Mark Corwin. Viola, plus sound design.
I did a web page with a link to the sound track. But most people search for videos.
I had taken a few pictures of Ed when we did the recording. But I got stuck. So many other things were pulling at my time. Plus I didn’t know what image to use.
The other evening, I felt strong drive to do the video. I went back to the pictures, chose one. I wasn’t stuck any more.
Here’s the video, plus full lyrics.

Thank you for sharing, a lovely uplifting song for all those who are hurting in whatever circumstances they are going through.
