Diversity: the Good, the Bad, the Neutral - and the VERY VERY UGLY!! NO EXPLORATION, NO QUESTIONING
Diversities: Positive, Negative and Neutral. I’ll start there.
For example, positive diversities include genius-level abilities in music, math, sports.
For example, negative diversities include disabilities/conditions from MS to blindness to unusual cancers. (Ask anyone with any of these disabilities/conditions.)
For example, a neutral diversity is skin color. The values of a culture may lead to negative or positive responses to the various skin colors. However, as for what is innately positive or negative, what comes to mind are different tolerance levels to sun exposure.
Personality traits - these may be negative, positive or neutral. Integrity and courage come to mind as positive personality traits.
Values - these are very diverse. They may be positive or negative. For me, the positive include: valuing individuals, individual rights, and freedom of thought and speech. The negative include: demanding conformity, punishing disobedience to demanded conformity. No neutral values come to mind at the moment. If they come to mind for you, let me know.
Ethics - such diversity. From glorifying human sacrifice. To valuing individual human rights, freedoms and also responsibilities.
Yet despite the obvious huge differences in values and ethics, Western societies currently strongly discourage thinking about and exploring ethics, values, morality, as well as thinking about and exploring diversity. I see this as a dangerous negative characteristic of Western societies, meaning in this way they are not as good as societies which encourage the exploration and evaluation of ethics, values, morality - including the value of being generally positive, neutral or negative about various diversities.
Instead of valuing and encouraging exploration and evaluation of different ethics, we have indoctrination to intone “all cultures are equal,” “to be judgemental is evil,” and “who are we to judge.” Everything discourages attention to reality, to perception, to the development of the capacity to evaluate well.
In fact, at present we have mind-numbing non-diversity in the mainstream evaluation of diversity. Diversity good. More diversity better. Most diversity best.
Never let it rest.
Until the good is better,
And the better best.
At the same time European cultures are widely denigrated - though diversity is supposedly good, and there is massive diversity in European cultures.
It is such an obvious mess.
By the way, a negative diversity: “wokeness,” which from all the evidence I’ve had means blindness to facts, deafness to logic, and denigration of all who disagree. A positive diversity (currently unfortunately quite in the minority): being at least somewhat awake to what is going on, at least somewhat open to facts and more facts, and to using logic. Also the awake are known for trying to reach the “woke,” not to denigrate but to help them.
And here I am on the kind of ethics I value:

All being provoked, exacerbated & magnified by the "they".
To further their evil, wicked, intent; by the mantra of divide & then RULE.
I feel there is something important in the "obidience/disobidience" themes - words that I have been musing about too. I think these idealogues and elites want our utter obidience even if it at gunpoint, and they cannot bear be to second guessed, satirised, or made fun of.
